Served as the State's Lead Plaintiff's Lawyer in the Office of Attorney General, leading efforts in consumer protection, natural resources, antitrust, and medicaid fraud
Lead a team that prosecuted environmental matters, resulting in one of the largest Clean Air Act case recoveries in Texas
Recovered over $250 Million for the State and its citizens through enforcement of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act against businesses who defraud consumers
Led a team that has recovered over $300 Million from pharmaceutical companies that have defrauded the Texas Medicaid program
Represented the family of a truck driver in a wrongful death case arising out of an auto accident
 
Served as a partner in a large Texas firm, with a practice representing private companies and individuals in business litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice, and premises and product liability
Served as Chief of the Attorney General's General Civil Litigation Division, overseeing the State's defense of claims against State officials, State agencies, and State programs
Served as lead trial lawyer in complex, multibillion-dollar cases challenging State laws and State programs
Defended the State in cases challenging the enforcement of laws regarding open meetings, open records, Internet safety for children, public health enforcement, and protection of the elderly

  • Co-founder of The Rise School of Austin, a preschool for kids with Down Syndrome and other special needs
